Reviewed on 09/04/2010 for a stay on 07/01/2010 We all thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night break at Roundwood House. It was charming! The welcome pack was excellent - filled with delicious local fresh products - and the owners had thought of every detail to make our stay as pleasurable, comfortable and relaxing as possible. There were lots of interesting places nearby to visit and plenty of lovely countryside walks. We only wished we could have stayed there for longer! |

| Reviewed on 07/16/2010 for a stay on 07/01/2010 This place just had everything you needed. We were traveling with family from Holland who had arrived at Stansted airport, the cottage is very conveniently situated for Stansted, so this was ideal. After I had booked the holiday the owner had already send us a lot of information on the area so we could prepare for our weekend. When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised, I liked the website of the cottage, but I have to say, it doesn't do it justice as it's much nicer then it's in the photographs. Everything was brandnew too, the kitchen really had everything you needed wih the most beautiful cooker. In every bedroom there was a little soap and some sweets on the beds, the bedlinen was very luxurious. It was very hot the weekend we stayed at Roundwoodhouse but the rooms stayed very cool, and most rooms had windows on both sides which you could open to get a nice breeze. We took our own paddlingpool for the children and the garden was ideal for it. We used the water afterwards to water all the lovely plants. The garden furniture was lovely too, we spent a few very nice evenings eating outside. One evening we had a bbq in the garden, we did move away from the house as it has a thatched roof and therefore we had to be extra cautious. The area is also very beautiful, rich in history with towns like Bury St. Edmunds and Lavenham very close by. We also made some nice walks and part of our gruop visited Cambridge. I can thoroughly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed! |

| The cottage was beautiful and wonderfully located. The facilities at the cottage are more than you could need for a holiday and we had a fantastic time. The owner, Audrey, was very welcoming and filled us in on everything we could do in the area. Perfect for relaxing and perfect for action packed breaks. Definitely recommend! April 2011 | |
| Keith Brown | The owner of this cottage went the extra mile to ensure that we had a comfortable stay, providing many extras which were unexpected, and was extremely helpful. March 2011. |
| Anonymous | I would like to congratulate (the owner) on the wonderful cottage, my friends and I have stayed in many cottages over the years, but we felt that yours was the best; beautifully decorated with every little detail in place. We felt completely at home, all warm and cosy. Dec 2010. |
